Drug offences and trafficking:

The Criminal Code of Canada and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act are the two statutes most often at play in the event of drug charges.
Cocaine for example, is a Schedule I drug under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, along with other drugs like heroin.  Cannabis, or marijuana, is a Schedule II drug.  There are eight separate schedules each defining which drugs are covered and what penalties may be applied on conviction.
The most common charges are possession, trafficking in a narcotic, and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Regardless of the charge, how the substance was seized and the circumstances under which the drugs were discovered are among the many issues Frank Pizzimenti will challenge on your behalf.
